Gate Stops / Jams
Gate stops (or jams) are upright timber batten sections, typically screwed to posts, wall-plates, or framework. Their primary purpose is to keep gates and doors true, helping to prevent future movement and ensuring they close properly within the opening.
We recommend pre-drilling evenly spaced holes before applying screws to prevent the timber from splitting.
These gate stops are supplied with a smooth finish and measure 20mm x 20mm. They are available in untreated, brown-treated, and green-treated timber options.
We usually supply gate stops to match the height of the gate or door you purchase, offered at a fixed price.
