Designed For Durability
All doors are supplied with a top hat,
twice weathered capping, which allows for proper water runoff. For thicker
(70mm) door upgrades, the capping is supplied with a heavy chamfered top,
adding both function and a refined visual finish. We supply the timber in a smooth,
untreated finish, ready for you to paint or stain. This allows you to match
your doors to your home’s style. For those using a stain, we recommend Sikkens
HLS for the base coat, followed by Sikkens Filter 7 for the top coats. This
method offers superior protection against moisture, fungi and damaging UV rays,
all critical for ensuring the longevity of your external timber doors. For those preferring a painted finish, a
spirit based preservative stain should be applied first, followed by your
choice of colour. Proper preservation and drying time between coats is key to a
flawless, long lasting result.
