Simple but rigidly structured, the Somefield gate has its own characteristic charm and is suited to use either as an entrance gate or field gate showing 6-Bar format rather than the usual common 5-Bar.
The construction incorporates the standard design features, planed components throughout and with stop chamfers.
Height: 3'7" (1090m) to top of top bar / 4' (1219mm) to top of Stile.
Supplied in treated green Tanalith 'e' softwood or untreated Iroko hardwood (price available upon request).
The Somerfield gates are framed, ledged and braced, also 'stainless steel' bolted for extra strength.
The hanging stile is wider than the catch stile with the top rail tapering to reduce weight on the gate.
These are supplied in a Scandinavian softwood as standard, but we can also offer a hardwood (Iroko) finish for these gates (contact us for a quote) Iroko is a top quality hardwood, yellowish / brown in colour and similar to teak in its texture and properties. This wood makes a superb entrance gate.

While very durable, we recommend you use Sikkens or Sadolin to preserve the timber.
