All Gates Fully Cladded Gates Tongue & Groove

Here you will find the smooth finished Tongue & Groove Gates which are fully morticed and tenoned for that extra strength and durability using boat building glue. Unlike palisade, these gates give a more private affair to your property. Chamferred/Rounded edges for elegance and character. Tongue & groove cladding presenting a more smooth tidy finish. With a made to measure service we have now made life easier for you to choose any gate you wish, and have it made to your required size. If you have another design you cannot match from this website, please don't hesitate to email us a simple sketch with measurements, and we will happily quote you. All tongue & groove (TGV) gates are supplied untreated ready for you to stain to your desired colour. We do recommend using a good spirit-based stain, and at least 3 coats for the first appliance. There are many brands of spirit stain available, but we do recommend the use of Sadolin or Sikkens. Any of these types can be used with a brush - do not spray. We recommend using Sikkens HLS for the base coat followed by Sikkens Filter 7 for the additional top coats giving extra protection against UV as well as rain/moisture and fungae.
