Wall Plates

Timber Wall plates are upright half posts which can be bolted to an existing wall, brick pillar or in some cases can be bolted to existing concrete posts providing a good connection can be made.  There are many ways in which a wall plate can be bolted to masonry brickwork i.e. chemfix bolts, screws and plugs, rawl bolts.

We tend to recommend Thunderbolts which are easy to use and no plugs are required.  Drill an 8mm hole into the masonry (brick not mortar) and a 10mm through the wall plates allow the head of the bolt to pull the wall plate flush with the brickwork/post etc.
