For staining, we highly recommend using Sikkens HLS as a base coat, followed by Sikkens Filter 7 for the top coats. Apply with a high-quality brush, working gently along the timber grain. This proven combination offers excellent protection against water, fungal growth, and harmful UV rays—critical for maintaining the integrity of external timber. (Please do not spray, and allow ample drying time between coats for the best results.)
